Do you know for certain that your Grandad wasn't the father of your grandmother's children? Depending on the years there are bastardly files and sometimes you can find the father that way. I'm not overly familliar with using them and perhaps someone here could help a little more, but I do know they are there. They are the record of court ordered support, much like modern day support paymen...
