Wooden cotton reel and 4 nails
Anyone remember knitting a long woollen tube this way with a cotton reel and 4 nails in one end? I am trying to remember what this is called

Yes it was corking, I bought something similar for my grandaughter a couple of years ago called 'Knitting Nancy' or something like that.
It was in the shape of a doll. The only reason I bought it was cos I couldn't find a wooded cotton reel anywhere

We called it corking, the French knitting we did was knitting without needles, bit like crochet
