Hi Guys

Just read through your wonderful posts. Thank you so much for looking up info for me.

This is what i know.

Edwin Johnson, born c1840 in Rowley Regis
Married Mary Boswell.

The part where i get stuck is that i have no official documents for Edwin(1840) on his marriage record it lists his father as being William Johnson - Dealer?

If he was illegitimate why is his father present at his marriage?

The reason i feel that this Edwin is my Edwin is because its the right year, 1840, the right area Rowley Regis and the address that he is living at in 1841 is near to where i have found other relatives living. The only thing puzzling me is him being illegitimate and Phoebe would'nt be a Johnson if she married into the family.

Really stuck with this one!

I have the marriage certificate for Edwin and Mary.
Witness John Arnold was a lodger.

Can someone list the 1841 census for Benjamin Johnson pls.

Do you think that going on the evidence i have that i am on the right track with this Edwin.

I sent for the Edwin Johnson born 1839 Dudley, but it did not match any of my information the father was listed as John Johnson. Address was nowhere near all my other family.
