Okay, I think I've nearly got all I can. I'm not totally comfortable with the Crewley /Crowley connection, but given the lack of Crewley records generally this could very well be an error on the marriage record.

What do you lot think?

Doesn't seem to match up with any of the Joseph Baker's on BCC, unless Mary Ann died early on!

It's the only one where Joseph's a minor in 1854 and has Joseph as father, but it does seem unlikely that he'd have married twice in 1854!

Just need to get the look up to double check that the Joseph Baker/Eliz Devell marriage is incorrect then I'll add!

I'm reasonably convinced that Mary Ann Crewley should be Crowley as the info matches and there are so few Crewley's generally - what do you all think??

That marriage for Joseph Baker and Mary ann crewley or whatever her name is
is the right one with brother edward convinced of it
as he is with with wife edna

I have altered it on bcc here

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ker-Family

so I think we can add that marriage info to that Joseph

The other Elizabeth Devall to Joseph Baker we dont have on BCC yet...I dont think
and that ties in with that info you sent me re the 1851 where she is with father John a tailor
then she is a wid in 1861

Then we have the other Joseph Baker with wife Elizabeth on the 1861 at Kingswinford with son Joseph Baker b 1855
and we have them on BCC......I think that is Elizabeth Cooper

I have both those elizabeth ones to look up

But we can I think add that marriage cos of wits edward and edna
occup of father coalminer name of father Joseph

looks good to me

I'll have a good look at this this evening when there's a bit of peace and quiet. I'll check out the ages for the kids!

I'm pretty sure that James' occupation is Iron Founders Office Clerk, he's down as clerk on some of the census', but on two of them he's living at Spon Lane Foundry in West Bromwich. If the Ann on the census is the same as our Mary Ann then she'd have been born about 1837/38.
