It's the influx of foreign players thats causing the problems!!
Not so long ago all the top clubs had a couple of Scottish players in them!!
Denis Law,Charlie Cooke,Dave Mackay,Billy Bremner the list goes on.

We once had a budgie called The Doog - he could shout Come on Dougan !!!

Right! For the sake of Robs sanity, can the last few posts be deleted please? Cos this is, after all, a very serious topic :-)

I used to be able to reel off the 'spurs team for the late 1960s as one of the school bullies made a point of hitting me if I couldn't. Oddly enough, despite not having any interest in soccer what so ever, I've supported 'spurs ever since. :? So who are Man United and are they important?
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.

SOME IMPORTANT FOOTBALL NEWS......

Due to financial problems involving football clubs, ARSENAL have had to release 15 members
of staff. The 5 referees and 10 linesmen are said to be devastated.
Also:
The children of referee Howard Webb have spoken today in defence of their dad's apparent
bias towards Man.United....Wayne, Bobby, Ryan, Eric & Christiano said they were deeply hurt
by the allegations.

Very droll Sparky but what do the members of this Forum think about the dismissal of Andy Gray for making "sexist remarks" about female linesmen and
he asjed a female colleague who was tucking her microphone away to tuck his in as well!!!! :o
