Re: This weekend's football matches
Just got back.....So many police there.
The most exciting thing was the 'streaker' in
the second half..
managed to dodge all the
stewards and police and disappeared into the
crowd!!!!!!
What we need is someone to put the ball in the net.
Plenty of chances either end...a lot of effort but no
finishers.....OH! for a 'Bob Latchford'

You got back quick?
I didn't see it but listened to most of it, sounded just as you say - plenty of chances both ends.
What did you think of Bentley?

Re: This weekend's football matches
David BENTLEY had a good game and was given
Blues 'Man of the Match' award at the end.
Should fit in nicely, but need someone to put
his crosses away...

Re: This weekend's football matches
Didn't Robbie Keane play?
They need a Bob Latchford Sparky . He'd be worth a few quid today don't you think.
I tried to avoid this thread today cos i didn't want to know the score and i still dont!!
I like to watch Match of the Day without knowing the scores.
Dutch football too but they're on a "Winter Break " bunch of poofs.
You know when i played football over here they'd wear gloves and tights when it was cold!!
They ought to have played on Lion Farm , or King George V up West Bromwich. That was cold but no one would ever have dreamt about wearing gloves or tights!!
Good idea Mally (xx) this thread.Let's hope more people contribute than when i was Robbie The Roving Sports Reporter!!
I had a read of that thread of ours and i have to admit ,even though i'm blowing my own trumpet, which i never do, was a good interesting thread.
West Brom did well to win against Blackpool and Wolves were unlucky not to get at least a point.

Re: This weekend's football matches
Rob, west brom played really well yesterday , could
have ended 8-6 easily.
watched motd last night thought the Wolves played out of their skins
and got nothing for it.
still want all 4 wet mids clubs to stay up!!!

Re: This weekend's football matches
Yes!...Back in the old days all the mid.clubs had their
fair share of good centre forwards....Villa...Trevor FORD.
Baggies...Ronnie ALLEN/Johny NICHOLLS..Blues...Bob LATCHFOR,
Joe BRADFORD....Sad to see the demise of 'Nat' though! But time
marches on......

Re: This weekend's football matches
Jeff Astle,Cyrille Regis,The Doog,Bully .......
It's the influx of foreign players thats causing the problems!!
Not so long ago all the top clubs had a couple of Scottish players in them!!
Denis Law,Charlie Cooke,Dave Mackay,Billy Bremner the list goes on.
