This annoying marriage

Post by Fatman »

Ive mentioned this in other threads, but through it deserved its own.

Samuel Hall's (1841) parents were Samuel Hall b 1818 Smethwick and Lettitia Betts b 1819 who married in Saint Martin Birmingham May 7 1837 - The witnesses were Robert Powell and Robert Hall.
Samuel (1818) also remarried a Jane ??? after his first wifes death.
Jane born Tipton, Staffordshire, England ...

The marriage of Samuel to Jane was between 1851 and 1861 proved in the census

Ive ruled out
Marriages Sep 1858 (>99%)
Hall Samuel Birmingham 6d 41 -> Jane Webster
and
Jane Pettinger from IGI

as Samuel appears as batchelor on both certs

Any help pls?

Right - Thanks for you help!

I think :
poss death
1875
HALL Samuel Harborne Sandwell Register Office HAR/21/380

Is correct as he disappears between 1871 and 1881 census.

However, I think the marriages posted are not the right Samuel Hall - I do however, think they are related somehow, as they are engine fitters from Smethwick.

Perhaps Joseph Hall mentioned as Samuel 1827 (who Married Janes) father could be a sibling of my Samuel Hall?

Could we try and find a connection between Samuel Hall 1827 and Samuel Hall 1818 - possibly through Joseph Hall?
