Can we add in the fathers name Samuel for William on BCC
and
Mark for Ellen ?

Do you have her linking into the Siviters already on BCC?

You have a Ellen Siviter born in Rowley Regis about the same time but it is not her.

Mark's parents are Samuel Siviter and Martha Homer, neither of which I can see on the tree.

Mark's wife is Mary Ann Meek and there are no Meek at all on the tree.

Put Samuel as his father and I will continue to hunt down some more clues.

I will fill in the Siviters when the tree runs a bit faster than a geriatric snail....

There is a William Hadley born abt 1842 in Oldbury in the Wednesbury Workhouse in 1851.

That is a better fit than the Smethwick entries.....

William and Ellen are correct...

Ellens parents and siblings I have nailed down.

It is William's Parents that were the original concern and are still the problem.

Samuel we have established from the wedding.

Mother could be anything.....

I have a heap more children to put down for Alfred and Ellen.

I also have a ton of photographs I am trying to figure out as they are of weddings with obscure clues like "Uncle Jo and his eldest's second wife" etc.

Plenty of potential baptisms but since we can't narrow down his place or year of birth via the census after he got married I can't honestly pick one.

This is the weakness of the English records compared to Australian.

In Australia I could order his death or wedding certificate and get the name of both parents.

Odds are his mother will be a Mary as half the potential baptisms have a Samuel/Mary combination.

This is a likely family. Can anybody find this William elsewhere?

Address: Scotch Row, Harborne
County: Worcestershire

HADLEY, Samuel Head Married M 35 1816 Pentecticker In Glass Works Oldbury Worcestershire
HADLEY, Mary Wife Married F 36 1815 Nailsea Somerset
HADLEY, William Son M 12 1839 Laborer At Glass Works Smethwick Staffordshire
HADLEY, Elizabeth Daughter F 10 1841 Smethwick Staffordshire
HADLEY, Thomas Son M 8 1843 Scholar Smethwick Staffordshire
HADLEY, Samuel Son M 0 (9 MOS) 1851 Smethwick Staffordshire
PYE, Edward Brother-In-Law Unmarried M 22 1829 Glass Gatherer Nailsea Somerset

There are plenty of entries in IGI that list Mary Pye as his mother but I have not seen a marriage between a Samuel Hadley and Mary Pye.
