Pam you won't get a birth certif as early as 1826
as civil registration was 1837

You could send for that marriage to see if the father is Thomas
you can apply to the Gro or perhaps Warwickshire registration office would help if you sent them an email
you could say you only want the marriage of Charles if father is Thomas (although if it were me I would get it anyway)

Re a bapt copy you need a bapt
was there one coming up on the IGI in this lot for Charles?
if so you could maybe contact Family search centre near you and view the mircofilm
or
you could contact the local archive and ask for a copy to be sent not sure on the costs

Also just want to say that I am pleased the Black Country Connections has helped you
but as we say on our homepage please do verify the information yourself
as you should do with all other people's research

This could be Charles (who married Mary Ann Cooper on 8 Sep 1849 at Leamington Priors Warwickshire at the age of 23) in 1841,
At Wellington St., Leamington Priors in the household of Abraham Collins (a Grocer) and his wife, Susannah, as a servant:
Charles Pailthorp 15 M. S. born in county

Pete - this looks promising - will investigate further

Pam

see previous post on the poss reason charles was in leamington priors
