Thomas Tromans died in Cornwall in 1863 at Brodriggy (Cornwall OPC). Angelina was 19 when she married in 1883 which make her birth year 1864 and it is possible that she is Thomas's daughter. The marriage has her naming her father Thomas.
I think that when ThomasTromans died his widow was pregnant and she decided to return to where she was born, taking her children with her.

What about this one? I can't see her in 1871 (not that that means much)

1864
TROMANS Evelina Kingswinford Dudley Register Office KIN/068/194

Births Sep 1864
TROMANS Eveline Stourbridge 6c 218

September qtr could fit with Thomas Troman's death.
I wonder if the Thomas surname in the 1871 census was a response to "What was your wife's former husband called?".

I don't know :?

Births Sep 1864
TROMANS Eveline Stourbridge 6c 218
Births Mar 1880
Tromans Eveline Dudley 6c 3
Marriages Dec 1901
TROMANS Eveline Dudley 6c 126

1901
TROMANS Eveline TROMANS Samuel Rowley Regis, St Giles Sandwell Register Office 18/9/491

That seems to take care of the 1880 birth and marriage. Angelina seems to have been quite a popular name down in Cornwall.

I haven't a death certificate but he is the only ThomasTromans living in that area and as far as I can see they were the only Tromans living in Cornwall during the 1861 census. There were 8 in the family including parents, and the children ranged form 1853 to 1861. There was only 1 child born in Cornwall and that was the 1861 child.
The eldest who was Joseph, the son of Thomas and Phoebe (Crampton) Tromans, continued to live in Cornwall after his step-mother returned to ,I presume, her family.
The Eveline Tromans born 1864 seem to be a good bet. but until a birth certificate is purchased there is no way of knowing. I can't find any baptism for this person only birth. If it is Eveline it is odd that she is Alexandra in a census and then Angelina when she married.
