ARC TBC - Birth certificate January 1837?

Wonder if anyone can shed any light on this.
Found in 1861 a census for Streatham that lists John Ryan bootmaker with wife Ellen and children born in Ireland. Can't find any other John Ryan bootmaker.
There is no mention of Son James Ryan born 1837 in liverpool
James Ryan military papers show birth liverpool, enlistment in Dublin and upon discharge in 1877 he gives proposed address as London.
Perhaps Im just trying to make this fit out of frustration. Would it be likely that a family that left Ireland for liverpool, would then return to Ireland for a number if years before returning to England after eldest son enlists?

That John Ryan was in Middlesex in 1851 too
John Ryan 35
Ellen Ryan 35
Denis Ryan 12
Catharine Ryan 10
John Ryan 6
all born Cork, Ireland.

It seems unlikely to be the same family, but you never know...

I spotted that one but James would only be 14 in 1851 so expected to see on census(?) and John is listed as laborer.
Made the mistake with maternal side of family by accepting "hint" in someone else's family tree on ancestry.com that seemed perfect, however when I tried to find proof of the connection it fell apart- trying hard now not to get carried away with " best guess". Will keep digging and thanks for all the support and help
