Can we verify this lot pls

Post by Northern Lass »

Trying to find out what happened to Lily Sewell....where she is buried etc
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =653923585

Did she die after 1915 marriage to Joseph Raybould
or did he die in 1921 (poss buried 11-7-1921 st peter cradley ....and she went onto marry an Albert Jeavons in 1921
does she die in 1961
where is she buried?

then need to verify cos confusing...
are Joseph Raybould and Thomas bros ...maybe father is a george
Does Thomas Raybould marry Leah Marsons in ..
1913
RAYBOULD Thomas MARSONS Leah Cradley Heath, St Luke Sandwell Register Office 20/6/107

Thomas killed fighting 23 April 1917 age 24

Then does Leah marry his brother Joseph Raybould in ...
1918
RAYBOULD Leah RAYBOULD Joseph Stourbridge Register Office Dudley Register Office 001/034/181

If Joseph marries in 1915 to Leah he cant marry in 1915 to Lily sewell

so which is it?

note it may be that Joseph Raybould who dies 1921 is buried in same grave as Leah Raybould who dies 1932 poss burial 2-11-1932 aged 39
in which case the marriage of Leah Raybould to Joseph is prob correct

need help sorting pls

I think Lily dies in 1917

Joseph then goes onto marry Leah Raybould nee Marsons ....ie his bros wife.

poss deaths
Deaths Jun 1917
Raybould Lily 30 Stourbridge 6c 55

bmsgh
RAYBOULD Lily Kingswinford Dudley Register Office KIN/115/165

There is this one too on free bmd

Deaths Mar 1920
RAYBOULD Lily 27 Dudley 6b 971

cant see that one on bmsgh.

I cant see her birth she has age on 1901 as age 12 living with parents
and on 1911 23

marriage she puts 23 in 1915

so I think she is born using census as abt 1887/8
and so the 1917 death aged 30 would fit.....her hubby then goes onto marry in 1918 Leah

so will have a look see if we have her in the photo images burials .....unless anyone else can find her in there pls

maybe buried st peters
or st lukes

:?

So:

Joseph Raybould marries Lily in 1915 (witnessed by Leah Raybould)

1917 death [aged 30]
RAYBOULD Lily Kingswinford Dudley Register Office KIN/115/165

1918 marriage
RAYBOULD Joseph RAYBOULD Leah Stourbridge Register Office Dudley Register Office 001/034/181

so it is possible but would need proving.
There are so many people with the same names.
