I have put on bcc but not added Patrick Vance Junior as he was registered as Bowen and married as Bowen

Could it be he was adopted by Vance family and reverted to Bowen when over 21 ?
Note Patrick Vance and Sarah in 1911 are noted as married 38 years, no children , 1 living , 0 dead

Patrick Vance married Sarah Green 19/5/1872 St. Andrews Bordesley Birmingham Warks.
Fathers James Vance Labourer and Samuel Green Labourer

No obvious connection to Bowen surname other than Richard Bowen lived with them in 1881

Plot thickens as Sarah Green was daughter of Samuel Green and Mary Ann Bowen and brother of Mary Ann Bowen was Richard Bowen who lived with Patrick Vance/ Bowen in 1871

This could be Mary Ann Bowen who married Samuel Green and then Joseph While or Wyle or Wild ?
and Patrick Vance/Bowen is staying with his aunt ?

That would be an interesting marriage to see who he puts as father

So Sarah Greens mother is a Mary ann Bowen....and so her (sarahs) uncle is Richard Bowen
is that right?

but expat did not connect up Richard Bowen or add on bcc
I cannot understand why Patrick changed his name from Vance to Bowen unless he was son of one of other Bowen siblings and was adopted by Patrick Vance and Sarah Green because they had no children
Sarah Green also changed her name from Sarah Green to Sarah Wild ( Wyle) to Sarah Vance when she married Patrick Vance
Age was wrong on 1881 Census and corrected in 1891, 1901 and 1911

Can you see what happens to Caroline Bowen aged 9 in 1871, daughter of Richard? I don't see anything sure for her after that date. Just wondered if she she was the mother of Patrick jnr.

Looked in deaths and marriages for Caroline and nothing found

Have found William Vance who married Ann Louisa Higgs had a son who married into Cooksey family on bcc so that will keep me busy making connection

the birth certif would be interesting but that needs purchasing.
