Thanks for marriage info for Joseph and Florence. If Ben was deceased at the time, would the St Edmunds register say so? If not, this suggests he was a labourer at age 66?

No Old Age Pensions until 1909 Bries, I have a Gt x 3 Grandfather who was a 'Labourer on the Roads' when he was in his 70's. Don't think they stopped work until they physically or mentally couldn't. Mind you the term 'Labourer' doesn't have to mean hard graft, could have been just sweeping up somewhere
