I lived there from 1956(when I was born) till 1974, but my Mum lived there till 2000. You are right about Lord Cobham owning a lot of the land. My Great- Grandfather, George Eades, bought what is now Feldon Lane and surrounding area from the estate in about 1900. I've got copies of the deeds.

It was originally Blackheath, Birmingham. But then became Halesowen, Worcestershire. Now it's Halesowen, West Midlands. But the council ward is still Hill I think.
