you might be correct there as i have had this reply

Hi Pete, Thanks for your email, definitely keen to help, at work at the moment, So can't concentrate on the genealogy, so probably won't join up the message boards for the next few days,
At a glance most of the census returns are correct, These Clive's descend from George Clive and Lydia Harper, Our Clive's were mainly gun barrel makers (also gun makers) in Birmingham, only possible connection so far that I have found to Robert Clive (Clive of Plassey/India) is through a marriage, so no direct decent there. Still looking though, haha
I have found no marriage for Mary Clive b. abt 1831, I descend from Isaiah Clive (her son, Birth registered under Timmins not Clive), his father was Isaiah Timmins, ( mary's partner see 1881 Census), I believe he is the father of Edward and Caroline Clive as well as their middle names are Timmins, not sure on the other children, Edith Pattinson (see census) is a daughter of Isaiah Timmins from his first marriage

I have no problem elaborating on this family, it was a tough nut to crack

Keen to learn who the original poster's mother was, and decent from Mary Clive, to see if she is in my tree, realise they may not wish to post online so maybe you can pass on my email address to them?, I have no problem with you putting this info on the message board hopefully will post myself in the next few days

Cheers
Stefan Clive

skinner sending you stefan email in a PM

Think ive found some more info on Bert Wilkinson. I believe his father was called Joseph Wilkinson who married a Emily Hunt on 1894 at Holy Trinity church West Bromwich. Josephs father was called Joseph Wilkinson who married a Mary Ann Turton at St Martins, Tipton Joseph was born in 1826 and died around 1891-1901. Mary was born in 1827 and died 1901. They have 9 children. louisa, Thomas, George, William, Samuel, Sarah, Alfred, Frederick and Joseph.

Not sure if this is 100% accurate.

Any ideas????

Thanks.
