ARC TBC..............Burial Henry While (Wyle)
Bob from Wyoming here.
I will be visiting the Black Country starting July 17th and need a little help with my great grandparents.
From the death certificate, Henry While, born 1824 in Netherton and died April 13, 1881, age 57, at 73 Halesowen Road in Netherton. Married to Sarah (Roberts) While. No known church affiliation. Where might he be buried? Where should I look? I would like to visit the graves and pay my respects.
Sarah (Roberts) While, the wife of Henry While, born about 1824 in Netherton. 1891 Uk Census, age 68, living on her own means, living at 73 Halesowen Road in Netherton with her family. Seems to disapear after that. When did she die and where is she buried? No known church affiliation other than her son John was married in St. John's Church in Dudley on Oct. 26, 1891 at which time she was still alive.
Henry and Sarah along with their family are listed in the Black Country Connections under Henry Wyle, 1825.
Thanks for any help you may give me,
Bob

Re: Burial Henry While (Wyle)
Heard back from the vicar at the church
not good news I am afraid
the vicar has kindly checked the database and
there mustn't have been a headstone or other indicator
so although they are buried there, as we have them in the register,
we are unable to find where ie which plot.
We can still have a look just to dble check at archives
but I think we will be unlucky

Re: Burial Henry While (Wyle)
You are guys are amazing! I left for a few hours and look what I came back too. Fantastic!
In summary, Henry and Sarah are both buried at St. Andrews in Netherton.
Even if they don't have a stone, I can visit the cemetery. Thanks to all.
According to my notes, my great grandfather John While, the son of Henry While and Sarah (Roberts) While married Louisa Hadley, from West Bromwich in Saint John's Church, Kates's Hill, in Dudley on October 26, 1891. One month later they left for Wyoming in the U.S. The only other thing I have is Lousia Hadley was confirmed at Christ Church in West Bromwich on April 3, 1882, by the Lord Bishop of Lichfield.
Thanks,
Bob

Northern Lass,
I don't think that is Lousia HADLEY. Her father was John HADLEY and her mother was Sarah (BAKER) HADLEY.

Re: Burial Henry While (Wyle)
I am searching for evidence to tie the Henry and Sarah (ROBERTS) WHILE and Richard and Elizabeth (ROBERTS) COX families together.
We know the two families are related, we just can not agree on how.
Sarah (ROBERTS) WHILE, had a sister Elizabeth (ROBERTS) COX. Elizabeth married Richard COX in England. Elizabeth and Richard had three children when they arrived in the U.S. Joseph, b. 1856; Jane, b. 1858 and Robert, b. 1864 all born in Enland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1869. Mary, listed in the 1861 UK census does not show up in the US census. Richard may have immigrated a year of so ealier.
What I have is listed below:
Elizabeth (ROBERTS) COX
1827 Elizabeth Cox birth year according to her headstone in the U.S.
1851 Elizabeth Cox, age 21, born about 1830 in Dudley, Worcestershire, England was living in Kinswinford England with her husband Richard, a coal miner, age 24, born about 1827 in Dudley, Worcestershire, England (1851 England Census)
1861 Elizabeth Cox, head of house, no occupation, a miner's wife, age 29, born in Dudley, was living in Dudley, Worcestershire, England with her children Joseph, age 9, born in Dudley, Jane, age 5, born in Dudley, and Mary, age 11 months, born in Dudley. (1861 England Census) Note: Richard was not listed in the census nor was Robert. Robert would not be born until 1863.
1869 Elizabeth'immigrated to the U.S. (1900 U.S. Census)
1880 Elizabeth Cox, born about 1832, occupation keeping house, age 48, born in England was living in Saint Clair, Schuylkill, Pennsylvania with her husband Richard Cox, born about 1830 in England, age 50, a coal miner, and her son Robert J. Cox, age 16, a fan turner in the coal mine, a single, white, male, born about 1864 in England. (1880 U.S. Census)
I am looking for a record that will connect Sarah (ROBERTS) WHILE AND Elizabeth (ROBERTS) COX together.
Thanks again,
Bob
