Thanks Dianel, very good thinking! Another point to make from what you have found is the Anne Pardoe living with the Wooldridge family. Thomas Kendrick (the older one) b1802 is living with 'wife' Ann in 1851 with more children. Got their daug Mary's birth cert yesterday and mother's maiden name is.....

I have their 2nd daughter Mary's birth certificate and it just lists the mother as Ann Kendrick formerly Pardoe. No other name. If she had been married before wouldn't it list the previous married name AND her maiden name? I am not sure how this works as I've not got any certificates of widow/widowe...
