looking at GRO theres a florence r gameson death in mar 1866. never new about her as not indicated in census and i havent done PR searches for this line of enquiry yet.

so its looking like henry and rebecca had two kids called edward and rebecca and when rebecca passed away henry moved kate and her two kids in after her partner james passed away and then in 1881 the enumerator lumped them all together as gamesons.
it seems more than feasible to me.

iaw GRO Henry Gameson married Rebecca Mary Morris in jun 1863 in Kings Norton Birmingham. on the 1871 census Henry is aged 31 living with two of the children Edward aged 7 and Rebecca aged 4. the mother is elsewhere in Birmingham ( aged 28). the GRO records a rebecca Gameson (aged 36 ) dying in Asto...
