Further up the page is a Married and it looks quite different.
Out of site, further up the page is another married identical to the one Ive just mentioned.
The first letter looks more like W and the last letter is finished differently to the d in married

No ancestors in the Black Country. I did have some distant cousins move to Leicester though and I cant find their descendants. Posting a transcrition of the Home Guard officers list may not be possible as their where over 800 officers in 1941 in East Yorkshire alone. I dont mind looking in the book ...

Thanks for the welcomes and although I'm no expert I hope I can help. As you may have figured my interest, apart from my family tree is the Home Guard in Newcastle.
