Well possibly but he would have only been 15 when he had SJH Jnr, and would have moved from Devon to Hastings before the age of 15, unlikely i reckon.

One interesting person is on the 1881 census, Samuel Hudson born in Barnstaple Devon in 1854 living in Battle Hastings, job is a Bricklayers labourer, which is similar to a Navvy i reckon. Barnstaple is only 2 or 3 miles from Swimbridge where Emma Somerwill was born in 1876, so he is a bit older tha...

I sent off for it and they sent it to me !!

I also have his WWII Army service record which again i cant get at until tomorrow, but from memory it only confirms all
i have said so far.

He died 1st April 1981 in i think Ashford Middlesex, i have his death cert but am not able to access it until tomorrow.

No he was born on the 12th January 1906, the address my Uncle gives as the birth address is 41 Alma Villas, Hastings.

No proof as such. but the info comes from my Uncle, George Henry Hudsons (my Grandad) son, who was also born in Hastings in 1929.

We have no reason to believe that Samuel John Hudson and Emma Somerwill went to Fulham in 1906 and then back to Hastings again for the 1911 census.
