How do you take yer Brew?

By that I mean what is your favourite cuppa?

and

do you have tea leaves or teabags
if so which ones?

I was just wondering as I dunked me ginger nuts in this afternoon
(and please boys let's not get silly about that!)

I can't stand earl grey or those fruit teas

I drink Earl Grey most of the time, with milk.

Stayed in a 2star-but-we-deliver-3star hotel near Gloucester this spring and when the waiter brought the tea pot, then fetched the sugar, I told him to skip the sugar but bring the milk. Know what he said? "I have never seen any one add milk to Earl Grey tea before." Bloody cheek!!!!

If I have the time and the inclination then I use leaves, with a black tea blend - with milk of course.
Usually I'm a bag lady! (No comments there :wink:

)

As far as Earl Grey goes, I'm not a big fan, but if I do drink it it has to be without milk, same goes for other perfumed teas. I don't mind fruit tea, but again without milk. If I try a new blend, then I'll taste it without milk first.
As far as I'm concerned I don't think of fruit teas in the same way as black tea (such as typhoo etc), they're just a drink, if I want a cup of tea then it's a black tea!

With all this searching I do, I don't have time to make a cup of tea,

So I drink coffee.

Tea bags for me , not strong with no sugar and just small amount of milk , normally use Tetley's but also like Tesco but never tried Sainsbury's, and a piece of Sainsbury's Victoria sponge cake with fresh cream goes down well with or with out a cuppa tea. :oops:

Jimmy! Me too!

I dont drink tea, just black coffee. By afternoon I like it strong but with cream.

My husband likes Yorkshire tea, made with 2 tea bags.
Youngest daughter like Tetleys strong.
My son likes all fruit tea drimks he doesnt have normal tea or coffee..

I have 3 types of coffee in the cupboard.
Nescafe original for me.
Nescafe Alta Rica Intense for my Hubby
Kenco Rich for my Middle daughter

VERY STRONG Earl Grey with a teeny weeny bit of milk.

I am a bit partial to English Breakfast as well.

Normal teas my favorite brand is Liptons.

Darjeeling tea bag in a pot (1 bag to two cups of tea) first thing (I'm just off to get the second cup now) then a teaspoon of loose Darjeeling in a pot in the afternoon, Twinings for preference (our local Waitrose used to do their 'first flush' leaves which were hellish expensive but lovely) but getting Twinings loose Darjeeling is difficult round here now so I tend to use supermarket own which is stronger and more tannic. As you can see I like it weak, plus a teaspoon of milk.

I used to like it strong, with two sugars, Assam when I could afford it, PG when I was poor, but virtually stopped taking sugar when a friend introduced me to Darjeeling. When my mother was alive I had a quarter of a teaspoon of sugar, just to wind her up, I stopped it completely the day she died.

MrsSRD has been told she shouldn't have tea or coffee, not even decaff, so she has Twinings Camomile and Limeflower.

I'm with Marky. Twinings English Breakfast, milk and no sugar 'cos I'm sweet enough. Funny thing is, I don't take sugar in tea or coffee, but I love cakes and puddings. Sorry, going off at a tangent like Annie :-)

I'm the same Barb, call it meaness (or thriftyness) when I was a student! And don't cakes and biscuits go with cups of tea and coffee anyway! :wink:

P.G. Tips or sainsbury's Red Label tea bags for me. With no sugar, and not too much milk. I like my tea brown, not beige!!! No cake or biscuits, as I'm dieting.
