The White Mouse RIP

Post by MarkCDodd »

When people talk of heroes, one lady, Nancy Wake, always springs to mind.

If you ever get to read of her real exploits of WWII, do so as she is an inspiration and shows what an ordinary person can achieve when facing tyrany and terror.

Every interview I have ever seen with here shows a "must do" attitude that enabled her to do the things she did.

I see that she lived in the Royal Star and Garter home in Richmond, a fine property that has been sold to developers to turn into luxury flats for the well-heeled. In the meantime the residents are to be moved from the glorious home and surrounding parkland that their service to their country earned them to 'custom built' premises in the grubby back streets of Surbiton.
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.
