Is the sun shining where you are?

Post by snoopysue »

It's rained all day today :(

Now I'm normally a fan of summer rain, preferably the sort that's accompanied by a good thunderstom - but this is windy never ending rain!

At least my garden will be happy, so there is a good side, and my holidays don't start for another week!

It's lovely in sunny Oldbury. Beautiful blue sky with bits of fluffy white cloud. Picking up the kids from school in an hour and taking them to Warley Woods for a picnic. What could be better ......

It is trying to but the clouds are mostly winning. I did think of you this morning when they said Denmark was getting more rain. A friend in Copenhagen got a basement full last week, I don't think she wants any more.

Yeh, they got loads last week, some of the motorways were shut because they were full of water. And a railway cutting lokked like a cut instead. A lot of the problems were because the sewers couldn't cope, so the water in people's cellers contained sewage. They had to remind people of the hygiene problems too!

We were luckier over on the west coast - although we're contemplating putting a valve in our celler so we don't get ant sewage backing up!

Two in the morning here so the sun is not shining and the moon is not giving off much heat.
