Spin off from another thread.
We have all the info on the grove family. Can we look in to the Smart family?

14th March 1880. St Thomas, Dudley
Samuel Grove, 24, B, labourer, Dudley, Charles Grove, Labourer
Caroline Smart, 23, S, Dudley, John Smart, Horse Nail Maker

Witnesses:- X of Charles Grove. X of Annie Smart


On two census Samuels wife is down as Catherine, 1851 as Caroline.

I cant see a marriage to a Catherine. There is this one though for Caroline?

But I cant find a Caroline Smart!

There is a Catherine Smart and that family are on BCC here

This is the only Caroline Smart born in the area,

West Midlands Birth indexes for the years: 1839.

I think its that Smart family with Catherine on BCC.
One of the witnesses was Annie, same as Catherine has a sister
