*Archived * -Weavers of Rowley Regis area Help please!

Post by sassaman »

Hi -

I'm looking for information about the Weaver family. My Mother has collected informaton, but suffered a stroke a few years ago and everything is a little mixed up. We are having a family reunion this summer and I would like to bring some information with me about the Weaver family. This is what I have

James Weaver & Susannah Weaver (Bradley), parents of Job Weaver Born 1856

Henry & Mary Tromans (Johnson), parents of Maria Born 1861

Job Weaver & Maria (Tromans), parents of Walter Weaver Born 1889

Walter & Anna Weaver (Cottrel(l)) married in New Jersey, US - Year?
Children: Clinton, Walter, Donald, Kenny.......

Walter Weaver born 1909 in New Jersey married Irene Gaskill
Children: Edward, Jerome, Audrey, Bryce and Jackie

Before Walter came to the States, everything goes to Garratts Lane, Rowley Regis or Old Hill, Rowley Regis. Are there any Weaver's left in this area?

Thank you for any help. My mother spent many years on this, but it is now stack after stack of paper that I am slowly working through. Mixed in with the stack is also her side of the family. I know people can spend years on this, but I was hoping for some information to put together for our family reunion this summer.

Got this info ...but needs checking....

James Weaver b abt 1820 b Mushroom Green Netherton
Susannah Bradley b 1817 Hopton Castle Shrops -1891 died gornal
(She was prev married to a Thomas Davies b 1815 Bitterley Shrops- poss child Mary Davies in 1838 Bitterly Shrops - this Mary Davies child married a Henry Harrris b 1836)

1848
WEAVER James DAVIES Susannah Dudley, St Thomas Dudley Register Office 204/009/11

then Job Weaver b 1856/7 Rowley Regis

then going back.......

James Parents
James Weaver b 1796 and Prudence Dimmock Staffs?

Susannahs Parents
Thomas Whitall Bradley b 1776 Hopton Castle Ludlow Shrops
and
Elizabeth Dodd b 1778 Shrops

this all needs verifying by PRs or IGI etc
eg the Job and Maria marriage in 1884 would confirm father for Job as James ( which you know anyway)
and the James and Susannah one in 1848 would confirm his parents hopefully as James Weaver and hers as Thomas Bradley
on the Tromans side the Job and Maria marriage would cf your henry and then the Henry and Mary Johnson would cf Henrys father and hopefully tie him into the Tromans line on our Connections going back.
