Done a look up and it is conf*using need help guys and gals!

This lady is down as Rudge her father is a William Harrold ( that is what it looked like and I had the originals out and everything!)

why is she a Rudge?
was her ma a Rudge?
she is a spinster when married

NL, there's an Ancestry tree which suggests that Mary Ann Rudge had parents William Harrold and Margaret Rudge.

There's a widowed daughter -in-law Margaret Rudge 28 and grand-daughter Mary Ann Rudge 5 living with John Rudge 59 and his wife, Elizabeth 59 in Birmingham Street, Halesowen in 1861.

So did William just bring her up then?

Margaret Unknown marries an Unknown Rudge parents John and Elizabeth

I think that Phoebe is the mother of Mary Ann Rudge

So she was born out of wedlock
Cos on the census Phoebe Rudge is unm
So perhaps William Harrold was the father

I think that is Mary anns ma
those other bapts ie John is hers and I think that Maria may be Mary Ann
