Hi San, I think he was born 1824, aged 59 at death in 1884? If so he is the son of John Sherratt 1793 and Elizabeth Bastable. Edward Married a Mary Taylor 1843 Halesowen. I don't have the sister Elizabeth, but that doesn't mean he didn't have one..............will check on that from linell.

I dont think so Pete, if his daughter Elizabeth married in 1868

I think Linell could be correct on this one

1843 Marriage
SHARROTT Edward TAYLOR Mary Halesowen, St John the Baptist 014/001/402

Yes that's him in 1841 and 1851 FS. John was in the Army. The Witnesses to John and Mary's Marriage was Lucy Hardeman, thinks she connects to the Hardeman's of Halesowen, we have Elizabeth Hardeman who Married Charles Brettell. I presume that it was Edward's daughter Elizabeth who Married John Moore? My next door neighbour in Halesowen was Muriel May Sherratt born abt 1901 her father was an Edward Sherratt. Muriel Married Cliff James son of Herbert James. The Witnesses were Eddie and Hilda Sherratt, Lily James and Walter Billingham. Must trace this Edward Sherratt back see which one he was? Best Wishes linell.
