Thanks San, maybe the John and Mary originated from there? I have found a lot of people in Kingswinford that originated from Salop, apparently there was a road (not sure if it is still there today) from Bridgnorth to Kingswinford, all the Shropshire folk walked to Kingswinford looking for work in the new Industrial age. Best Wishes from linell.

Nutsy, I too have a John Baker marrying a Mary! My John was born c1815 either in Birmingham or in Bilston. He had daughters called Susannah and Susan but the dates don't quite match with yours, but I thought I'd put this here just in case you recognise them.
In 1841 they are in Lower Windsor Street, Birmingham, in 1851 they're in Queen Street, Stourbridge, and in 1861 they're in Lloyds Fields, Rowley Regis.
Their children are as follows (all born and baptised in Birmingham):
Susannah b. 20th Mar 1832, chr. 2nd Apr 1832
Jane b. 4th Oct 1833, chr. 26th Dec 1833
Mary b. 10th May 1835, chr. 5th Oct 1835
John b. 9th Apr 1837, chr. 1st May 1837
Susan b. c1839 (poss b.21st Feb 1839, chr. 1st Apr 1839)
Ann / Hannah b. c1841
Elizabeth b. c1854
Sophia b. c1858
Mary is my direct ancestor and she married Edwin Edwards on 21st Feb 1853 at St Thomas' in Dudley. I have this certificate if it's of any interest to anyone
