Probate Announcement - query on wording

Probate Announcement - query on wording

I have just looked up the probate announcement for one Joseph Roberts and all was as expected including the name of his eldest daughter as his executrix. According to all my research the daughter Ann Roberts remained a spinster throughout her life (as detailed in this notice), however she is listed in this notice as 'Ann Roberts otherwise Fawcett'. Please could anyone tell me what 'otherwise' could mean? Thank you.

Was Joseph's wife a Fawcett before marriage or perhaps Ann was adopted?

Ann's mother was a Hough but I will double check Ann's birth record to see re the adoption - nothing so far to indicate that she was though - thanks for your help.
