Hi everyone
Total newbie here - looking for info for a relative.
We are looking for information on our family for the 1901 cencus. He says that it costs, which im surprised at - is there a way to get 1901 cencus information free? If so, please point me in the direction!
thanks kindly

Hi Collin Welcome to the forum
Well yes it does really but we can all help with any information that you require.
Or you could visit your Library and ask for acces there... or local archives...most offer it.
You could join Ancestry or find my past.
Quite a few of our members use both.
Some members have other resources too so it is always woth asking.
Which area are you interested in?
If it is the Black Country area in the Midlands then if you scroll down and post in there we can help you...just go to the Black Country Genealogy section and stick a post in there.
If it is any other county then you are in the correct section.
So choose your county and tell us who you are looking for.

PS- if you want to know the tricks of the trade we have a beginners section on the forum might help....but just ask us ought and we will help

hi collinsc take pen a paper and ask loads of question names, date, bro and sister, marriage, etc
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Re: 1901 cencus
Collin this would be a great one to run with in that Beginners section. We can show you how to find the information. Much more fun than just having it presented to you and as my coz once said to me.... you only find the info once....!
But of course we can help you with answers too.
So as Pete says ask lots of questions.
Decide where you want to start and work back.
You might have to buy some certifs or visit archives....but let us know and let us loose!
