any one remember cuddles thw killer whale or that assualt course it had or the tobbogan run

Here he is - he was put in a pool that was nowhere near big enough. I remember there being a tremendous outcry at the time

it was sucha large part of my childhood
i saw cuddles wen i was very little and was so angry wen they moved and killed him

It was disgusting in the 70's and did shut down for a few years - I think they ran out of money and it need an overhaul.

It's a really good place now - really interesting for kids with the adventure area and a lot of conservation is going on.

My grandson can't wait until his 14, so he can be a keeper for a day. I adopted Jazz the orangutan for him a couple of years ago for his birthday and he gets to visit her (with a keeper).

it was of its time em i used to love the tobbagan ride it was tucked away in the corner of the zoo and the hog roasts and dances in the castle court yard
