What happend to say, children or husband if they were transported? Vice versa too.
Could they go or was that the family split up?

They probably couldn't go, we weren't so socially aware at that point in history!
There is a tale in my mum's family of a pair of elderly spinster sisters coming to visit, they were daughters or grandaughters of someone who was transported. But no-one knows exactly which part of the family they were related to, so I've never tried to persue it - bit of a needle in a haystack. Maybe these records will thorugh some hints up!
