Private Messages

Post by minishant1 »

Hi

I sent Antie Em a private message with a query on the website she had created for me but have received no reply as yet. Thought I'd just check my Sent Messages today and there are none listed, so I'm wondering if she received it or not. Can you help me please?

Thanks.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Is this what you mean Mini :?:

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... een-Family

If so that is a shared site owned by NL, we all add our family information and see where we link up, it is run by Tribal Pages, Auntie Em just spent time adding your family information on there, are you aware it is in the public domain and anyone can view it :?: Linell.

Sent you a pm Mini

You could start a Tribal pages one too if you wanted, easy to do,
They are a hosting company , you own the gedcom they don't own the info you add,
but it is a nice format of theirs to use.

You can call your tree whatever you wish and add photos etc etc

Hi again

I've now had a reply from Northern Lass and Antie Em and have replied to both. Could you both confirm you've received them as there's still nothing in my Sent Messages folder. I replied using the Reply button this time so presume they've gone OK. Thanks for all your help folks, I'm going to have a look at putting some of the rest of my family onto BCC actually as they were all Brummies.

Antie Em and Northern Lass if you haven't received my pm's is it OK to just reply on this thread?

Hi Chris, I didn't PM you in the end, it was only about Tribal Pages and NL told you about that. By the way Birmingham is not the Black Country, two very different places. :-)

Hi Snoopy Sue

I've replied to you pm but apparently my pm's are still getting lost in a black hole somewhere. My reply was:

I have a Lizzie Burgess b approx 1890/91, an Elizabeth born approximately 1832 but neither of them have Thomas for a father. I have a Thomas Burgess born approx 1770. His father was Duckett Burgess b approx 1720, whose own father was b approx 1700.

I haven't done a tree as I lost interest when I couldn't get back any further and then forgot all about it till you brought the subject back to mind. Can you send me the link again as your pm's now vanished too?
