Men of the RFC who joined after 1916 and were subsequently transferred to the newly formed RAF had their service records transferred from the WO to the Air Ministry.
So they are not included in the WO Medal Index Cards or other WO Indices held by The National Archives.
I know that many of the WO records are now available on Ancestry but does anyone know if the
Air Ministry records (Specifically AIR 79) are yet available on Ancestry ?

think this would be better in the military section as mark and adrian could tell you better
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
