*Arc tbc* --John Skidmore b. 1874
Can anyone help with this?
John Skidmore born about 1784 in Brockmore, Worcs. He married Ann (Unknown). The couple lived at Dudley Rd in Tipton according to the 1841 and 1861census.
They seemed to have had 10 children (info from IGI) between 1807 and 1827 (going by dates of christenings in Tipton). John was in 1841 a pudler, and in 1861 a labourer in the ironworks.
I can't find John in 1851: In 1861 he's living with son David (1827 Tipton) and daughter in law Emma in Dudley Rd, Tipton, and they are living at Dudley Rd in 1851, but John's not with them. By 1871 David and family have moved to Rawmarsh, Yorkshire and again John's not with them.
John and Ann's daughter Charlotte (1813 Tipton) married George Baugh in 1834 in Kingswinford she died in 1890 after living in Wednesbury for many years.
What I would like to know is Ann's surname, and where and when John died.

(My tree isn't by anymeans complete - I'm adding manually and checking as I go!!!!)

John Skidmore, puddler of Bloomfield, Tipton, b. Brockmoor c. 1782, died end of Dec. 1867 aged 86, bur. Tipton 1 Jan 1868. He may be a younger son of Job Skidmore (1742-1787). Wife Ann (Whitehouse?) bur. Tipton 7 Mar 1852 aged 74, so born perhaps bet 1774 and 1778 Tipton. Her mother was perhaps Mary Whitehouse, in 1841 living with them aged bet 80 and 84. First husband perhaps Thomas Cook m. 10 Apr 1798 Tipton. Children: William bpt. 24 Feb 1811 Tipton; Joseph bpt. 27 Jun 1813; Charlotte bpt. 5 Mar 1815, m. George Baugh (b. 1813 Tipton son of Thomas Baugh and Elizabeth Moule) 7 Dec 1834 Kingswinford; Ann bpt. 15 Jun 1817, bur. 13 May 1818 Tipton; Thomas bpt. 13 Jun 1819, bur. 1 May 1832 Tipton; James bpt. 13 May 1821; Mary bpt. 21 Nov 1824, bur. 28 Oct 1835; Martha bpt. 21 Nov 1824 buried 9 days after her twin sister on 6 Nov 1825; David bpt. 3 June 1827.

That all seems to fit with what I've got! And it fills in some of the blanks!
I didn't know Thomas Baugh's wifes surname, or that both the twins died soon after birth (I did have Martha's death, but not Mary's). That gives me loads of information to be going on with!
Thanks Dennis
