Some things just make my blood boil....

Post by MarkCDodd »

Woman leaves hard working husband ten years ago.

Husband always supported their daughter and paid beyond the legal alimony over the years.

Man wins $90 million in lotto and offers ex wife $1.5 million as a gift.

She then sues him for $13 million dollars.

Court order him to pay her $3.2 million dollars.

Why?

What has she done to deserve it?

What stupid law in England allows he to have any right to the money at all?

We have had men win lotto a day after a divorce had been granted and not had to pay a cent.

I read this this morning
I think if they have a dau and his earnings or capital goes up she is well entitled
to more Child maintenance.

They obviously didn't have a full and final settlement clause when they divorced.

There is not such thing in Australian law. Once the divorce papers are signed then thats the end of the couple having any right to property obtained from then onwards.

Why she was able to claim is his solicitor or whoever forgot to put a final settlement claues in his divorce proceeding thats why she got away with it
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

I also noticed that it was an out of court settlement, so looks like he agreed to it rather than go through more hassle. Poor bugger! I think only his daughter is entitled to anything.
