*Arc tbc* --weston stokes
when i joined sparkstopper expressed an interest in my weston/stokes line.my 3x greatgrandfather was samuel weston whos son john (1850-1920)and wife dinah had a son john (1896-1974) who was my maternal grandfather.the first johns death was registed from my grandmas house(15 worcester street stourbridge) she was florence weston nee rowberry.
after ww1 he returned having lost a brother and witnessed lord knows what and admitted himself into barnsley hall asylum in 1931 ish where he remained until his death.
have seen samuels grave in gallery and have visited it myself.
my stokes line begins with my grandma minnie whose parents were albert stokes(1870-1922) and mary cartwright.his father was alexander(1843-1913) who married frances isabella johnson .their marriage records state that his father was george stokes who i can find no details on apart than he married sarah coley whose line i have traced to 1735. sarah was already widowed on 1851 census i think so have trouble finding much else about him.
hope that makes sense to someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Re: weston stokes
If you live near the archives Oscar you really need to verify anyone's
research yourself as mistakes can be made.
We try to steer clear of just adding others research without verifying it
all the members will back me in that
but it is easy to make a mistake even when you do the look ups
so where possible get certifs and look at the actual records yourself
now Sparks if you add that marriage for look up I will check it
