Loft and hidden treasures
Wolvie has been sorting out his bits and pieces in the loft
and he has found an amazing collection of marbles
some are brilliant
and
a gas mask!
will put a photo on here....well will send it to Mally
and put it on bcc
it is in perfect condition
also a really old bible
no names in it but it is beautiful
Wots in your attic besides spiders!

Re: Loft and hidden treasures
I've got a suitcase full of Charlie Buchan Football Monthlies and a complete Goal collection from number 1 right up to when they merged with Shoot in the 70's!!
And i have thousand and thousands of 45's,78's and Lp's.
What else have i got?
Oh a suitcase ot two of football programmes.
Old NME's and pop and sport memorabilia (never been able to spell that).

We don't tend to have lofts or attics in Oz. There's under the house of course, but that's dusty and dirty. Ours is full of rusting tools, old plant pots, bags of something that can no longer be identified, and cobwebs. Oh, and there's an old rocking chair in bits that himself bought for my birthday years ago and never got around to renovating.
Some mistakes are too much fun

Don't forget the Redbacks and Funnel Web spiders. The number one reason we don't bother with large storage areas

Re: Loft and hidden treasures
Nothing in ours - it's a new house. My husband says the only things aloud up there are our suitcases and christmas decorations.
Now both my parents and my inlaws lofts are crammed to bursting point - I know there are old photo's and bomb disposal books as well as my grandmothers travel writings in my parents loft - keep on at my dad to find some of it out for me, I'll wear him down one day!
My mother in law just delivered a box of old photo's as I've started researching my husbands family - she says I can throw them out when I'm finished with them
(I think not!). There are some old songs (from her parents 25th wedding anniversary) and references for one of my husbands great grandmothers as well as the photo's.

Re: Loft and hidden treasures
Not really sure what we have in our loft beside suitcases and Christmas stuff, not been through the other boxes for years, in fact not been in the loft for years.
I should take a look there are lots and some of those belonged to my parents I did not want to throw away when they died, wonder what's in them.
