Have done a look up on a marriage and the occupation is this...and I have seen it now a few times....

a Fosbrook norton - well that is what it looked like

I want to chase this lot down now I have added them too! so going to change the title but I dont understand wot that fosbrook norton means.

Sorry carol and Jimmy I dont have a copy just my notes ....and I might have got it down wrong ....but thats wot it looked like.... :shock:

but whether that Samuel is the father of the John b 1870 not sure.

I have had a look on the census and cant see John William Frederick Bissell on 71 or 81 but not had a good look...but I would have thought Samuel father was born abt 1850 or just prior.- so could be one of those above....

I have found John WF Bissell on the 1901 he is down as a manuf of cycles and is born RRegis
