I stumbled upon this site:

http://uk-transcriptions.accessgenealog ... Dudley.htm

As I believed that my ancestor William Toy b 1793 married a Sarah Smart in 1836, this was added to the BCC site, however, I searched for Toy on that page and nothing, but searching for Sarah Smart brought up William Cole as the spouse on that date in 1836. Could this be a transcript error or could it be that the marriage to Sarah Smart didn't exist for William Toy?

If this is right, and Sarah Bibb was a widow when she married William Toy, then he married Sarah Bibb nee Smart.

Ok, so how come on this site his name is Cole not Toy?

http://uk-transcriptions.accessgenealog ... Dudley.htm

Is that an error by the transcriber? If I went down to the Church St Thomas in Dudley, would I be able to actually view the original record?
