Hi, this is Maths Girl's daughter instead... Wifi is the name for wireless networks which can be publicly accessed, so yes you can often find them in bars, or on trains, in airports and other such places... As for how to access them, that very much depends on your laptop itself. If you're not particularly technologically minded, then I would suggest the best option would be to ask one of the members of staff - if they've managed to set up a wireless, then they should know how to connect your laptop to it (providing it's better than my mum's which I'm still not sure how to set it up properly!)

If they have a password on their Wi Fi you will need to ask for it. Otherwise your wireless controller should be able to find and automatically connect to the network. Once you have saved the settings and set your wireless controller to roam, the next time you enter the range of their Wi Fi it will automatically connect.

I just have to connect to their connection

Just make sure your security is up to date, as you're a little more vulnerable on wifi than on a cable.
Not that I understand exactly how you do this (that's what husbands are for!!)

Nothing worse than getting your "two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun" all over your keyboard.

Ah, but an apple pie and a free "senior's coffee" can be managed with one hand.
