Hi, I am new to this site, and fairly new to the whole geneaology thing. I wonder if anyone could help me to find out the names of my great, great, grandfathers parents, and any other information about them. I know my g.g. grandfathers name was WILLIAM NICHOLLS, born c.1850, he married ELIZABETH FEARNETT, born c.1852 at Manchester Cathedral on 22nd October 1868, and they lived at 16, Daniel Street in Hulme, Manchester in the 1871 census. I now live in Canada, and am finding it difficult to get information, so any help that anyone can give me would be most appreciated.

Thank you - I have their details on the 1871, 1881 and 1891 census, on the 1891 census William's birthplace is given as Gowker, Yorkshire, I dont even know where that is! Also, in the 1881 and 1871 census his birthplace is given as Manchester and Lancashire respectively, which is puzzling me a little. I would love to be able to find out what Williams parents name was, but Im guessing that the only way to find that out is by getting hold of his marriage certificate, which will have to be a future project, when funds permit.
