Mother of the Bride?

Post by grangers14 »

Well we are on count down to my daughters Wedding.
About 3 months, 31st October.

What do you wear?

Have been out looking, I have brought two dresses back and not sure if either will be any good?
They have very kindly said I can keep them till my hubby is home so he can see.
I have Loads of for and against.
I really dont know! A really big :?

I didnt want to have anything on my head but looks  like I will have to.

I dont know!

Its my daughters day, didnt think i would be so muddled.
Any thoughts?
Jo :)

I think you should get something in a colour that you know you like to wear. Check with the bride and t'other mother if there is one, so you don't clash/look like twins.

Try sitting in it on various chairs. And getting out of a car without doing too much of a shuffle. Does the material crease? Does it photograph OK?

Can you shed a jacket7wrap if it gets too warm?

As for the hat - can you get away with one of those decoration things? Does it have to be a hat?

I have a similar problem for a bit earlier in October as mother of the groom.-- So far I have a calf length navy lace dress which I am thinking of accessorizing with???

Or I may find something completely different -- My main thought is to be comfy -- I am definitely not a "fashion at all costs" sort of person.
