Old Midland Red Bus Routes
My hubby and I were discussing yesterday the old Midland Red Bus Routes that went from Dudley Bus Station in Fisher Street. We agree on all of them apart from one which is the No. 9 bus route. Anybody any idea which town it went to to solve an argument?
Thanks.
Barb
Thanks.

Re: Old Midland Red Bus Routes
Thats not the bus she means my Brummie Mate!!
I used to catch the number 9 from The Kings Head to Birmingham when we used to go to The Top Rank Suite and The Locarno!!
And i remember being on the number 9 with my dad in 1959 when we were going to Villa Park and there were posters on the bus asking if anyone had seen a blood stained man in the Edgbaston area.Stephanie Baird had been murdered in a hostel!!

Re: Old Midland Red Bus Routes
Finally found the answer to my question. If anyone is interested, I can hear the sighs of "Am I bothered"
but I'm telling you anyway. The D9 route was Dudley Bus Station, Oakeywell Street, Prospect Row, Adshead Road, New Road, Cinder Bank, Simms Lane, St Andrews Street, Marriot Road, Cradley Road, Saltwells Road, Quarry Bank, Scolding Green Road, St Annes Road, Cradley Road, Chester Road to Cradley Heath Station.
