Do you remember where you were when the news broke?
When Princess Di was killed I was going down to Cornwall
I will always remember that

I remember that day- I had my dog PTS and didn't even know about it until the next day - spent all weekend crying but nothing to do with Diana. Got back to work and everyone was signing books of condolence in the Town Hall

At the start of WW2 I was on holiday on the Isle of Wight, travelling back was a nightmare, everywhere was blacked out..
VJ Day was declared whilst on holiday at Llandudno, big celebrations with bonfires along the beach.

Now look here folks, you're letting the cat out of the bag here of how old you are
I wasn't even a twinkle in my father's eye during WW2.
I was off work with bell's palsy when John Lennon died. Cried my eyes up, should say one eye as the other one had gone partially paralyzed.
