We have a James Clift b abt 1831 here

on the 1871 his mother Mary is with him
can we find James earlier with his mother
marriage is down for a look up to find father
but can we run ahead of that

Mother is 82 in 1871 so b abt 1789 Birmingham

Added the 1841/51 census and children, but cant be sure they all belong to Thomas & Mary going by the ages there are two sets of twins Ellen & James b 1831 and Hannah & Mary 1826 , I have searched on Family search and can't find any twins for Thomas & Mary these are what I found:-
