*Archived * -DYSON in Oldbury and Rowley Regis
Hello
I have just joined and my name is not one of the popular ones in this area.
I have a George DYSON b c 1803 in Rowley Regis who married Mary ? also born Rowley Regis.
Their son William was born c 1833 in Oldbury. They all ended up in Brum.
Are there any other DYSON researchers on the list?
Does anyone recognise these people? Their occupation on census was Grinder. One of the daughters became a steel pen grinder.
Cheers

Re: DYSON in Oldbury and Rowley Regis
I wrote a detailed reply - had a phone call and several other interruptions and then finished it and sent it and -------- got a new page telling me to log in again.
I did so, returned to previous page and my email was not there - all gone.
Why did this happen??? Anyhow - in summary - I have george and mary in census in brum 1841 onwards
I have william and wife emma ditto
the three children of george and mary were all christened in 1837 in brum at one go - oldest two were not born in brum
can't find ann/anna/hannah - the eldest
have followed both william (my direct line) and elizabeth (betty married john foster) in later census
mary bennett is distinct possiblity - but unproven.
but where did the DYSONs come from originally?
And are there any other families in the Oldbury area in the early 1800s?

yes these are the only three children this couple seems to have had - though some could have died - esp between ann and william.

I haven't looked too closely aroudn these census for other dysons recently but did do that kind of hting when i started this line and would have saved them if i had foudn any. but may be something i should go back to when i have a minute.

Thanks - I hadn't realised you would quote it exactly
It should be - as a tree
George DYSON m Mary (? BENNETT) c 1825
children
Ann b c 1828, William b c 1833 Oldbury, Elizabeth b c 1835 Birmingham
William DYSON m Emma TYE 28.08.1853 St Peters and St Pauls, Aston, Birmingham
children : William, Thomas, Elizabeth, John
Elizabeth (Betsy) DYSON m John FORSTER/FOSTER 27 Nov 1853 Aston Juxta
Children : Ann, Mary Ann, Emily, John, Letitia, Betsy, Benjamin
I won't list any later generations as they remain in Brum and are not relevant to the black country
thanks

I do go on genes now and then but don't have more than the bare direct line back on there. I haven't found it all that helpful - most of the people I find there I already know!!!
But I will have a look again as its been a while
thanks

Hi Juba
Ok just to explain it a little. We have put the info on as a tree.
we also have by the side of each entry notes just to qualify a point or reference.
So if you click on this link here...
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =546872270
you will see the ancestors and descendants.
So we could do with the dobs for these children of Wm and Emma
William DYSON m Emma TYE 28.08.1853 St Peters and St Pauls, Aston, Birmingham
children : William, Thomas, Elizabeth, John
and
Eliz and Johns children dobs
Elizabeth (Betsy) DYSON m John FORSTER/FOSTER 27 Nov 1853 Aston Juxta
Children : Ann, Mary Ann, Emily, John, Letitia, Betsy, Benjamin
if you have these dates we can add them and add those children no point in reinventing the wheel if you have the info.
Now as far as not adding the Brum ones dont worry about that as I explained to you once you have one ancestor on that was from the black country his descendants or ancestors can come from whereever as long as one of your ancestors came from the black country or surrounding area.
So it is coming together and with that xtra info from you we can help you start to add your own.
Cheers Jan
