Burnett paintings

Post by Northern Lass »

I have acquired a couple of paintings by someone called Burnett
they are oil or acrylic ..don't know the difference
and they are of Paris scenes
they are in the modernist genre
looks like done with a knife

does anyone know about an artist called Burnett
I think they might be "tourist " stuff
not sure

You could be sitting on a goldmine!
Caroline C Burnett :?
Rings a bell................
I bet it was a pseudonym for Toulous Lautrec or Gaugin.
Or maybe some artist signed those paintings Burnett to indicate it was "in the style of Burnett" .
Hang on to the paintings though Jan they could be worth a bit.
