Have looked up a marriage
I dont think it is our Mary Ann we were after the one here...
we are running with this on the Mary ann Billingham thread.

Mary, wife, 30, Holly Hall, Dudley
Emma, daur, 10, Holly Hall, Dudley
Elisha, son, 5, Kingswinford

Mary Ann, daur, 8 months, Kingswinford

But I wonder if it is our William Holt
his first wife might have died
or he left her

The William on this marriage below is a nailer ours is a miner

I dont believe he married the above Mary (Ann)
that Emma b 1841 is Regis as Gill
having said that some of the kids may be regis as Holt
I think Mary Ann b 1850 is

So just wondered if we can find the following couple I looked up the marriage for on the 1841

or even Johnathan Sidaway father of Mary Sidaway on marriage

I think that Mary is not the Mary above
and Emma dau there is a Gill I think but Elisah
cant see a birth regis

so where is that Emma on the 1841
big gap betw Emma age 10 and Elisha age 5

I do think that is our William with first wife

I dont think she is with him in 1851 cos of that Emma being Gill

so that means he leaves Mary sidaway
or she dies

that emma might be useful to find on 1841 or is she born after census

I also wonder how William Holt links to Susannah Holt
cos bet they do!

Could that Hill be a clue??
Or holly hall?

Yes Susannah Holt is Mary ann and Hannas ma
her dau marries a Hill

I think we need to see if that Mary on the 1851 is ours ie Gill
can we find some births for those kids
either holt or gill

On the 1851 census Mary Ann is down as 8 months this is a possible one, there is one a little earlier though

Oh thats on BCC

need to get birth certifs that sort of span the census

so any on that 1851
maybe Emma

then on 1871 maybe Elisha 1861

so we pick up the mothers name

can you post them and which census

any with unusual names will be easy to find
except cant find elisha age 5 on 1851
